Tranell Jones, 24, killed after his car hits icy patch on Highway 18 in Hinds County, Mississippi, sending him into path of ice cream truck

At around 7:16 a.m. Tuesday, Tranell Jones of Utica was driving a Kia eastbound on Highway 18. He crossed a bridge on the highway and lost control of his car near Traxler Road, hitting a patch of ice, which caused him to cross into oncoming traffic, at which point his vehicle was struck by a Blue Bell Ice Cream truck. The truck driver was not injured.
