Walnut High student dies in one-vehicle wreck
Two male Walnut High School students were involved in a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning, and one is dead.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family.
According to Walnut Volunteer Fire Chief Randle Hall, authorities were dispatched at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday morning to the scene near Tippah County Road 218 in Chalybeate. Alcorn County authorities also responded. It was determined that the accident occurred just inside the Alcorn County line.
