2 Killed, 1 Hurt in Alcorn County Wreck

Winter weather and icy roads are being blamed for a multiple wreck that left two people dead and a child injured.
A car crash in Corinth, Mississippi that killed two adults and injured a child is being blamed on winter weather and icy roads. The accident occured two cars hit a patch of ice on US Highway 72 at approximately 1:30 PM Friday. The initial accident was only a minor fender-bender, however when the cars occupants got out to assess the damage, a tractor trailer hit the same patch of ice, jack-knifed, and hit two adults and a child. One person was declared deceased at the site of the accident, while the second adult died while being trasnported to Magnolia Regional Medical Center. The child is in stable condition. The identities of the victims has not yet been released. We will have more details on this tragic accident as they become available.
