According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Evelyn Degraffenreid, 77, was driving Westbound in the Eastbound lanes of Highway 54 near the intersection of Storage Road, and hit another car head-on.

Because all of the people in the vehicles involved were killed, exactly why one of the drivers was in the wrong lane may be impossible to determine.
