Andrew J. Beautte, 40, and Dawn L. Harl, 38, killed in small-plane crash into hayfield near Keytesville, Missouri

At approximately 9:15 p.m., Troop B Headquarters received a report from a citizen that a small aircraft had crashed approximately eight miles northwest of Keytesville, Mo. Emergency personnel located a 1946 year model Cessna 140 single-engine airplane crashed in a hayfield. Andrew J. Beautte, 40, of La Plata, Missouri, and Dawn L. Harl, 38, of Des Moines, Iowa, were pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Larry Brashears. It is believed that Beautte was the pilot of the aircraft.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KOMU-TV8 the crash was reported about 9:15 p.m. Dawn Harl, 38, of Des Moines, and Andrew Beautte, 40, of La Plata, Missouri, were pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency crews responded to the scene and found wreckage of a 1946 Cessna 140 single-engine plane in a hayfield. A spokesperson with the National Transportation Safety Board told KOMU officials are unsure where the plane took off or where it was heading.
