At approximately 9:15 p.m., Troop B Headquarters received a report from a citizen that a small aircraft had crashed approximately eight miles northwest of Keytesville, Mo. Emergency personnel located a 1946 year model Cessna 140 single-engine airplane crashed in a hayfield. Andrew J. Beautte, 40, of La Plata, Missouri, and Dawn L. Harl, 38, of Des Moines, Iowa, were pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Larry Brashears. It is believed that Beautte was the pilot of the aircraft.

CHARITON COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) - Two people were killed in a central Missouri plane crash Sunday night, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. Brent Bernhardt said authorities received a report of a small plane crashing in Chariton County, Missouri. Bernhardt said it's unknown where the plane departed or its destination. Both occupants, Andrew J. Beautte, 40, of La Plata, Missouri, and Dawn L. Harl, 38, of Des Moines, Iowa, were pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency crews found a 1946 Cessna 140 single-engine plane in a hayfield.

CHARITON COUNTY, Missouri — Two people, including an Iowa woman, were killed Sunday night in a plane crash in central Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells KOMU-TV8 the crash was reported about 9:15 p.m. Dawn Harl, 38, of Des Moines, and Andrew Beautte, 40, of La Plata, Missouri, were pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency crews responded to the scene and found wreckage of a 1946 Cessna 140 single-engine plane in a hayfield. A spokesperson with the National Transportation Safety Board told KOMU officials are unsure where the plane took off or where it was heading.
