John Lundin, 54, and Austin Salmans, 40, were injured in a three-vehicle head-on collision on Interstate 49 in Cass County, Missouri

A Missouri State Highway Patrol report indicates John Lundin, 54, of Topeka, Kansas drove off the left side of northbound I-49 around 4 p.m. near mile marker 171. The vehicle crossed the median and struck the cable barrier, then became airborne and overturned. Peculiar resident, 40-year-old Austin Salmans, was stuck head-on while traveling southbound. A third vehicle involved in the accident struck debris from the crash.
