Troopers state Bryan Crawford of Poplar Bluff was attempting to make a left turn and was struck from behind by Joplin. Both trucks then left the road.
Denver W. Joplin, 74, of Oxly was pronounced dead at a Poplar Bluff hospital as a result of the crash on U.S. Highway 160. Bryan Crawford was waiting to make a left turn and was struck from behind by Joplin. Crawford was wearing a seat belt but it is not known if Joplin was wearing one.
