The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Donte Westfall, 9, was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition when it hit an embankment and overturned. The Highway Patrol says none of the three was wearing a seat belt. A man faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child after state troopers say he let a 9-year-old boy drive a car that crashed, killing a 14-year-old passenger. The crash was on a county road north of Oxly, which is in Ripley County, about eight miles east of Doniphan. The patrol did not say if Morris and the boys were related.   Information from KFVS-TV

The 9-year-old told police the man had vodka and was teaching him how to drive 100 miles per hour. "I feel like the man should be charged for letting a nine year old drive a car. Mitch told me he was smarter and going to show me how to drive 100 miles per hour." The 9-year-old boy had minor to no injuries. The state trooper found Morris covered in blood with several cuts on his legs and face.
