Heavenly Hafford, 13, killed in pedestrian collision with alleged hit-and-run driver Randel Sparks, 42, at PP Highway and Maud Street in Poplar Bluff, Missouri
Police have located a second vehicle believed to be involved in a hit and run that killed a 13-year-old Poplar Bluff girl on Dec. 9. Poplar Bluff police say a black F-150 truck involved in the hit and run is being processed for physical evidence. The recovered evidence will be sent to the Missouri Highway Patrol’s crime lab for forensic examination. Heavenly Hafford, 13, died after she was hit by a car and then a truck.
A grand jury was called about 3 1/2 months ago to consider whether the second suspected driver should be charged in connection with Heavenly Grace Hafford's death. But there is no indication it has met or when it will.
The arrest comes 6 1/2 months after a grand jury was called to consider whether Ressel should be charged in connection with her death.
A Poplar Bluff, Missouri, man will spend the next four years in prison for his role in the December 2015 hit-and-run accident that killed a local teenager, Heavenly Grace Hafford.
