According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the truck driven by 52-year-old Scottie Plumb of Ava was pulling the trailer on Missouri Highway 14, and it became detached nearly 11 miles east of Ava.
Douglas county crash leaves Thornfield man dead
Mason O. Morpeth, 25, of Thornfield, Missouri, was killed after a trailer being pulled by another car detached and struck Morpeth’s vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
