According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Robertson was the driver of a truck on U.S. Highway 160, and Sanders and Gaddis were her passengers. They were nearly a mile west of South Fork when their truck crossed the center line and struck another truck, driven by Schlegel, head-on.
