Man dies in motorcycle crash near Sidney.

A man was killed and another injured after being thrown from a motorcycle near Sidney on Monday night.

A man was killed and another injured after being thrown from a motorcycle near Sidney on Monday night.

The incident occurred at 10:25 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 350 and Holly Street, according to Montana Highway Patrol officials.

The 29-year-old driver and 31-year-old passenger were both from Sidney.

The motorcycle was southbound on County Road 350, when it drifted into the westbound shoulder on a straight stretch of road, officials said.

The driver over-corrected in an effort to recover, and the motorcycle went off the westbound side of the road. The driver lost control when he entered the west-side ditch, and both riders, were thrown from the motorcycle.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, and the passenger was transported to Sidney hospital.

Neither were wearing helmets.

Whether speed or alcohol was a factor in the crash is still under investigation, officials said.
