Fatal Crash In Hall County

CAIRO, Neb. (AP)  Authorities say a Grand Island man was killed when his car collided with a sport utility vehicle on an icy highway in Hall County. Thursday on Nebraska Highway 2, around four miles southeast of Cairo (KAY'-roh) in Hall County. The car driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Department says 35-year-old Jeremiah Roberts, of Ravenna (ruh-VEH'-nuh), was headed east on Highway 2 when he lost control of his SUV on the slippery roadway and struck an oncoming car. His two passengers and Roberts were hospitalized.
