Bellar says he headed out immediately to the scene when he heard about the crash. "By the time I got out there I was watching

the students being evacuated out the back," said Bellar. "And they said we have some that are in serious shape. And take precautions to make sure they are okay."

A school bus carrying 13 children was hit by a truck Monday afternoon at 42nd and Grover streets. Two students were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The other students were transferred to another bus to be taken home. The driver of the truck allegedly ran a red light and struck the bus. The truck driver was cited by police.
