Motorcyclist died after Omaha collision with car, police say

Authorities say a motorcycle driver has died after colliding with a car on the east side of Omaha. Later Sunday night the car passenger and driver were questioned by police after the pair sought treatment at another Omaha hospital. The driver and car passenger fled the scene. Police say a speeding southbound car went out of control and struck the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was taken to Creighton University Medical Center, where he died.

Two People Facing Charges in Fatal Crash

OMAHA, Neb. (AP)  The county attorney says a car driver and his passenger will be charged in the crash death of a motorcyclist in Omaha. Kleine also said Perkins' passenger, 29-year-old Michelle Plascencia, will be charged with being an accessory to a felony. Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine (kleyen) said in a news release Thursday that 28-year-old Langston Perkins will be charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident. The charges stem from an accident Sunday night in which a car went out of control and struck a motorcycle, fatally injuring 18-year-old Fredy Reyes-Garcia, of Omaha. No phone listing could be found for Perkins or Plascencia.
