Police claimed at around 3 p.m. they received a call concerning a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Carey and Sandy. It occured when a car stopped in the middle of the roadway was rear-ended by a pickup truck. The car had two adults, Robert Gonzales, 24, and Josefina Sanchez, 34, and two children inside. Police stated the 3-year-old who was killed was a passenger in the car. There was also a 2-year-old sent to the hospital in critical condition. The two adults in the car with the kids are being treated as well. The driver of the truck, 70-year-old Charles Washington, was arrested at the scene and will be sent to the Clark County Jail.
