Marcos Luna, 20, killed and Jaime Lopez, 23, injured in car accident on Gowan Road in Las Vegas

Marcos Luna, 20, was killed late Saturday night after a car crashed into a power post in the northeast valley. The 23-year-old male driver was eastbound on Gowan Road around 10:30 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and drove into the shoulder. The car headed back across the roadway and hit a wooden power post on the passenger side. The driver and Luna were taken to University Medical Center. The driver suffered serious injuries and Luna died at the hospital. The third passenger, a 20-year-old man, refused medical treatment.
