Elderly woman dies after January crash, Metro says
A woman who was involved in a southwest valley car crash in late January has died from her injuries, Metro announced Wednesday.

Keiko Kawachika, 88, of Las Vegas died Feb. 9, nine days after a two-vehicle crash on West Flamingo Road west of South Decatur Boulevard. The cause of death was multiple injuries due to a motor vehicle accident.
Thomas and Keiko Kawachika were riding together in a car eastbound on Flamingo Road when their vehicle collided with another driven by a 59-year-old man. Keiko was not wearing a seat belt. She and Thomas were both taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries. The other driver was not injured. Keiko died of her injuries at UMC.
