Police did not report additional injuries on Kliese or his 76-year-old passenger.

A teenage boy was injured after he was struck by a car at South Jones Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue, according to police.

Strader noted the boy was crossing the roadway on an amber light at the time.
Metro's Accident Investigation Section is looking into the incident.
A 15-year-old boy was crossing Jones Boulevard in a marked crosswalk at about 6:00pm when he was hit by a pickup truck driven by Richard Kliese, 78. Kliese allegedly drove around another vehicle before hitting the teen, who sustained critical injuries including a fractured leg and a brain injury, though he remained at the scene and did not appear to be impaired. We will add to this accident as more information becomes available.
