Man killed after pickup-fire engine crashed ID’d
He is Sergio Rodriguez-Trujil, of Las Vegas, the Clark County coroner’s office said Monday. His official cause of death is multiple blunt force trauma injuries from a motor-vehicle collision.
Late Sunday night, a Las Vegas Fire Department engine was responding to an emergency with lights and sirens activated when it turned right from southbound Boulder Highway to southbound Sandhill Road when it was struck in the rear by the front of a 2002 Chevy pickup. The driver of the pickup, a 28-year-old Las Vegas man, was brought to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. We'll update this post as more information becomes available.
