Afternoon Crash Leaves One Dead

An 86 -year-old is dead following a crash near Lake Mead and Rampart. The traffic accident happened around 3:30pm at the intersection of West Lake Mead Boulevard and North Hillpointe Road. A 2012 Toyota Camry was east on Lake Mead Boulevard when a 2004 Toyota 4runner traveling west, hit the Camry head on. Both drivers were taken to University Medical Center in serious condition. The 86 year old driver of the Toyota Camry was taken into surgery and later died.
