Pedestrian killed in Boulder Hwy. crash identified

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified 40-year-old Gayle Renee Menzie as the pedestrian killed in a collision on Boulder Hwy. The crash happened just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Sandhill Road. According to Hadfield, Boulder Highway was closed to traffic from U.S. Highway 95 to near Elm Drive while investigators were at the scene. Thursday, Trooper Loy Hixson, of the Nevada Highway Patrol, reported the woman had been pronounced dead at the hospital. Police at the scene said the woman was attempting to cross Boulder Highway outside of a crosswalk when she was struck by a 2005 Chevy Silverado.
