One person dies after southwest valley crash

One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in the southwest valley Saturday night, according to Las Vegas police. Find her on Twitter: @lauxkimber. Northbound Buffalo was closed and Metro fatal crash investigators were en route just after 9 p.m., Rodriguez said. One person, whose age and gender were not available, was taken to University Medical Center and then died, Metro spokesman officer Michael Rodriguez said. Officers were called just after 6:15 p.m. to the wreck involving a sedan and a truck at 7017 S. Buffalo Drive, near Warm Springs Road.

Marc Fernandez, 40, of Las Vegas was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer north on South Buffalo Drive and tried to turn left at West Badura Avenue. He was struck by a 2001 BMW driven by Davis.
