Man dies after crashing into wall near Strip Sunday night

A man died Sunday night after crashing his vehicle into a wall near the Las Vegas Strip. Just after 8:30 p.m., the 50-year-old man was driving a 2006 Dodge Caravan west on Jay Sarno Way, according to a Las Vegas police press release. The man was taken to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, the release said. He stopped at a red traffic signal, then continued through the intersection, across Frank Sinatra Drive and into a block wall, traveling approximately 25-30 mph. Police said the man may have had a medical episode before the crash.
