Metro investigating fatal crash near Jones and Post

Metro's fatal detail is investigating an auto-pedestrian crash on Jones Boulevard near Patrick Lane, according to Metro Lt. Jones Boulevard is closed in both directions between Post Road and Patrick Lane, according to Metro. The crash happened about 6:11 a.m. and at least one person is dead. The fatal detail will be releasing a statement about 9 a.m.

A woman died, and police have detained one person in connection to the crash, police said.  

Coroner identifies female pedestrian killed Monday

The Clark County coroner has identified the deceased as 25-year-old Danielle C. Patella. Her city of residence is currently unknown. The driver has been identified as 40-year-old Gaston Martinez.

Stop and think about what would happen if you heard that your sister best friend boyfriend or girlfriend died because somebody decided to drink and drive and hit them. Please don't DRINK AND DRIVE
