Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run collision on Lake Mead in Las Vegas, Nevada
According to LVMPD Lt. David Gordon, officers are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on Lake mead east of Halston.
Officers responded to Lake Mead Boulevard near Anasazi Drive and found a pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene, said Lt. David Gordon with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Investigators said they believed he was walking in the eastbound bike lane on Lake Mead when he was hit by a vehicle. According to police, they identified 20-year-old Ethan Chavez as the driver. Through the course of the investigation, police said they believe Chavez intentionally struck the victim.
