According to police, a Chevrolet Tahoe and moped were traveling west on Lake Mead when the crash occurred. The Tahoe fled the scene, but a witness followed the Tahoe and contacted police.

Dudley Harvey Batchelor Jr., 49, was traveling west on on Lake Mead Boulevard near Simmons Street about 9 p.m. when a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling in the same direction collided with the moped and fled the scene, according to North Las Vegas police.
