3 year old killed, adult hurt, when car moves in driveway striking both.

A 3-year-old child is dead after an accident in a driveway in Pahrump Wednesday.

According to the Nye County Sheriff's Office, the boy was in the car, which was running but was parked in the driveway. The driver got out of the car, and for some reason, the car started to move backwards.

Another adult tried to get into the car to stop it, but was hurt. The child got out of the car and was run over. The child was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.

The Clark County Coroner's Office confirms that the child died. The name of the child has not been released.
