Andrew Matschke, 59, killed in pedestrian collision with RTC bus at 9th Street and Dolomite Circle in Reno, Nevada

The victim in Friday's fatal bus collision in Reno has been identified as 59-year-old Andrew Matschke. The crash occurred in the area of 9th Street and Dolomite Cir. in north Reno, when a pedestrian was pinned under an RTC bus a little after 3 p.m. on Friday. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The preliminary investigation states that the pedestrian exited the bus and began walking on the sidewalk, but as the driver of the RTC bus began to pull away from the curb, the pedestrian stepped off the edge and fell into the side of the bus. His leg became trapped under the one of the rear wheels.
