Family mourns Hudson man killed in motorcycle crash
“I want people to know that he was just a person, not a crash victim,” Misty Kjellman said. “He wasn’t just some guy. He had on his helmet. He was safe, and it didn’t matter.”
A motorcyclist died Friday morning when he crashed with a car on Commerce Ave at approximately 8 a.m. C.J. Kjellman was transported to the Elliott Hospital in Manchester. He was pronounced deceased shortly after 9 a.m. Speed and impairment are not believed to have been factors in the collision. The driver of the car sustained no injuries.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents.
