3 injured in Newfields crash

Two cars were involved in a head-on collision Monday afternoon on Route 85 in Newfields, police said.

Three sent to the hospital after head-on crash

Newfields Assistant Fire Chief Ray Buxton said the driver and passenger in the car and the driver of the Jeep were transported to Exeter Hospital. "They were all wearing their seatbelts, so that was good, " Buxton said. Newfields police Sgt. Nate Liebenow said the female passenger in the Hyundai suffered a head injury, but it was not considered life threatening. The drivers of both vehicles received minor injuries, Liebenow said. All three were able to get out of the vehicles on their own.
The crash occurred in the area of Hutchinson Sealing Systems at 171 Exeter Road (Route 85) shortly before 4:30 p.m. and involved a Jeep Cherokee and a Hyundai Veloster.
