Timothy Morrison, 51, of Portsmouth was trying to cross Route 1 near Southgate Plaza at around 6 a.m. when he ran into the side of a southbound Jeep Cherokee. The impact knocked him to the ground, where he was hit by a southbound van and dragged underneath the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
