Police investigating 2-car crash on ice of Contoocook Lake(link is external)

They say a pick-up truck driven by 19-year-old Brendon Olson of Greenville and a Toyota Corolla driven by 19-year-old Tanner Munroe of Rindge collided, causing heavy damage to both vehicles. Munroe and three passengers were taken to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough for treatment of what police say were non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.

Conservation officers said Fish and Game, Rindge police and Jaffrey police responded to Contoocook Lake around 12:45 a.m. Two cars collided on the ice of Contoocook Lake in Rindge early Sunday morning, according to New Hampshire Fish and Game officials. The crash caused extensive damage to both vehicles, and Munroe and his three passengers were taken to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough with non-life-threatening injuries. Fish and Game officials urged people to use extra caution when operating vehicles on the ice and to always pay attention to their surroundings.
