A New Hampshire woman is recovering from injuries suffered when her snowmobile hit a rock wall on Lake Umbagog in Errol.
A New Hampshire woman is recovering from injuries suffered when her snowmobile hit a rock wall on Lake Umbagog in Errol.
New Hampshire Fish and Game officials say 43-year-old Roxanne Bonney was traveling a high rate of speed across the lake when she struck exposed rocks and was thrown from her snowmobile.
She was taken by ambulance to Androscoggin Valley Hospital for treatment.
The accident happened at about 5 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities say that even though most lakes and ponds don’t have designated speed limits for snowmobiles, riders should use caution and not ride at unreasonable speeds.
