A Brick Township man who police claimed was driving while intoxicated Wednesday night ran off the road and into a retention basin. Police responded to Lakewood Road and Algonquin Trail shortly after 7 p.m. and found Kevin J. Scott, 42, standing outside his vehicle, which had four flat tires. Scott was unhurt. Scott was behaving irrationally towards police, Scerbo said, and was placed into custody.
