A preliminary investigation found the boy was riding a bicycle on Route 38 in Southampton near milepost 19.1 when he was hit by a motorist traveling westbound around 6:30 p.m. on June 14, spokesperson for the New Jersey State Police Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron said Saturday.
