Police say one person has died following a crash in the Garden State Parkway in Clark Township. Police say the driver of a Nissan passenger van was driving northbound before driving off the roadway and slamming into a metal guardrail.

Martha Merra, 86, was driving north in a stretch of the highway in Clark when her vehicle ran off the highway to the right and struck the guard rail at at mile marker 137, then crossed the lanes and hit the left guard rail, police said.
