6 injured when light rail train and box truck collide in downtown Jersey City, New Jersey

6 hurt when light rail train, box truck collide on tracks

The agency says the train hit the back of the truck after the truck moved onto the southbound tracks when the train had the right of way. The accident caused minor travel delays in the area while the accident was under investigation. New Jersey Transit says the collision occurred just before 7 a.m. The name of box truck driver was not released. There were 38 people aboard the train at the time.
