Police: Linden mom drove drunk, crashed, with two-year-old son unrestrained in backseat

Police said Hapun's 2001 Oldsmobile hit a Ford driving west on the 600 block of East Elizabeth Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday, and then struck a BMW parked in front of 621 East Elizabeth Avenue.

No injuries were reported in the incident. Hapun was charged with DWI with a child in the vehicle, careless driving, failure to use a child restraint, and failure to exhibit an insurance card. She will also face a second-degree criminal charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
