Jordan Spencer, 34, and her 3 children: a 4-year-old, 2-year-old, and 3-month-old, hit by car on Dewitt and Academy in Linden, New Jersey; mother and infant in critical condition

According to police, the family was waiting to cross the street at the corner of Dewitt and Academy terraces in Linden at around 8:30 a.m., when a driver stopped and signaled to the mother to cross. But just as the family stepped into the street, another vehicle drove around the stopped car and struck them. The impact threw the youngest out of her stroller and onto the pavement, police said. Both the mother and the infant were rushed to University Hospital with head injuries.
