When they returned and the bus stopped in front of the high school, Jones started crossing the street in front of the bus and that’s when a car came around the bus and hit her.

Authorities say it happened around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday on the 500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The JAGS cheerleader team was just returning home from a cheer event and the school bus was parked outside the high school.
