2 Die in Fiery Crash in New Jersey

Two men were killed Saturday when their car flipped over and caught fire on a central New Jersey roadway. Plainfield police said it's unclear what caused the single-vehicle crash, which occurred around 6 a.m. in the area of Emerson Avenue and East 2nd Street. Residents in the area tried to rescue the two men, but couldn't get to them. The two men were pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation found that speed may have played a role, they said.
