A 23-year-old driver was flown to the hospital with “serious” injuries after a single-car crash on Aldrich Road early Sunday, police said. The driver, whose name was not released, was the only person in the car when it crashed near the Jackson border and was taken by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. The driver appeared to have broken legs and internal injuries. Additional details on the crash were not available Sunday morning. A portion of Aldrich Road was closed for several hours while investigators worked at the scene, and the roadway reopened around 10 a.m.
