Louise T. Swale, 64, is charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, tampering with physical evidence, and hindering apprehension, police announced Friday.

Township police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver in a Wednesday night hit-and-run collision that killed an Edison man. Daniel T. Catalfamo, 29, died after being struck by a light-colored sedan, possibly a four-door Honda Civic. Police say the car was traveling south on Highway 18 near the Highland Street Extension when the driver struck Catalfamo and continued to travel.
