Reports of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Woodstown-Alloway Road and East Lake Road first came over police scanners at about 11:45 p.m.

The State Police's Crime Scene and Fatal Accident Investigation units were also dispatched.

Despite some leads and the continued investigation of the accident, the first driver has yet to be identified as of Wednesday.
Chelsea Burns, 25, has been identified as the pedestrian killed at the scene of a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Woodstown-Alloway Road and East Lake Road in Pilesgrove Township, NJ. Burns was walking southbound on Woodstown-Alloway Road at the time of the accident, and was run over by two different cars, though it is believed that the first car's impact killed her. The first car's driver has yet to be identified.
