Police: 60-year-old man fatally struck by car in West Long Branch

A 60-year-old man was fatally struck by a car Friday night on Route 36 in West Long Branch, police say. Authorities say the pedestrian died at a hospital after being hit by the Jeep Cherokee on Monmouth Road.

Pedestrian stuck and killed on Route 36 is ID’s by cops

Curtis W. Davis, of Tinton Falls, was hit on the eastbound side near Monmouth Road shortly before 8 p.m, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said Monday. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
