The fatal crash on Atlantic and Burk avenues was among several other collisions in which multiple medevacs were called, according to witnesses and various news reports.
One person has been charged and was taken into police custody in connection with the deadly crash, according to the prosecutor's office.
Officials identified the driver of the car as Gerald White, 37, of Pittsburgh. He was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree death by auto and nearly a dozen other related charges.
