Deptford police arrest Runnemede man in fatal hit-and-run
Investigators charged Brian Kowasa, 24, of Runnemede, with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Kowasa, accompanied by his father, surrendered himself to Deptford police early Monday morning.
The 52-year-old man was walking on Route 45 (Mantua Pike) in Deptford Township shortly before 8 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck. Investigators say the truck did not stop and continued north toward Woodbury. Brian Kowasa later surrendered to police.
