Passenger David Burton, 59, was pronounced dead on the scene. Johnson was transported to Dan Trigg Hospital in Tucumcari with nonlife threatening injuries.
New Mexico State Police responded to a single vehicle crash Friday afternoon on State Road 104 near Conchas, NM. The investigation showed that a Hyundai, driven by Robben Johnsen, 59, was traveling westbound when Johnson lost control of the vehicle and it over turned. Police say alcohol and speed are possible contributing factors in the crash.
