For unknown reasons the Freightliner excited the interstate at a high rate of speed and collided with the rear of a 2011 GMC Sierra, driven by Jordan Frank, 31, of Twin Lakes, NM.

Sackett and Frank both suffered fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced deceased on the scene by the Office of the Medical Investigator. A 59-year-old male passenger in the Freightliner was injured and transported to an area hospital.
